Counting, classifying, and practicing the pincer grasp... with real tweezers
Clampi proposes a very specific challenge: pick up the exact number of tokens indicated on each card—for example, 2 apples, 1 tiger, and 5 bees—and place them in their corresponding square on the house-shaped tray. All using a wooden tweezer instead of fingers.
This pincer grasp is precisely the one needed later to hold a pencil, so here, the skill is practiced through play, without the child perceiving it as an exercise.
And since the cards have the solution on the back, you can check on your own if you've done it correctly.
The 20 cards allow you to gradually increase the difficulty: at first, it will be enough to recognize the simplest quantities, and over time the child will be able to chain together several combinations without help, at their own pace.
