The MAX-SAFE PRO, which is exclusively rear-facing, the safest way to travel, from 61 cm to 125 cm or 36 kg (whichever comes first), is certified by the demanding Swedish Plus Test. This is a very strict, voluntary test that measures a car seat's ability to protect the head and neck in a frontal impact.
Its requirements are so demanding that no forward-facing device has passed the tests. In the event of a frontal collision with a rear-facing car seat, the impact forces are directed to the seat back, while the remaining energy is distributed evenly between the head, neck, and upper body.
